
First Skyscraper to Be Built in Bulgaria Black Sea City Burgas

The first skyscraper in the Bulgarian Black Sea port of Burgas will be constructed in the southeast part of the city in the Meden Rudnik Quarter.The building will be 90 meters high and will have 30 floors and two underground levels.
The Burgas firm GM Story is the investor in the project, and the PP Iris 2001 architectural bureau and ISP Digital Management are authors of the design.
The basement levels will have 120 parking spaces. The first five floors are going to contain stores, bank branches, a fitness center, a swimming pool. The remaining 25 storeys will contain 200 apartments with an area between 52 square meters and 210 square meters.
If no one wants to buy the apartments on the upper floors, the owners might consider turning them into restaurants or offices.
The construction of the first skyscraper in Burgas will be carried out with a special crane, which has been imported from France for the purpose. The project is expected to be completed by 2012.
