Rental Levels in Sofia Climbed by up to EUR 50 Jan-June
Novinite.com, 2006-06-05
Rental levels in Sofia's most attractive areas have marked an increase by EUR 15 - EUR 50 since the beginning of the year, shows data of a local real estate site.
The upward trend is most clearly visible in the luxurious southern districts of Borovo, Beli brezi and Lozenets, where intensive construction works continue. The rise in rental levels in the districts of Lyulin and Mladost stood at 17%.
The rental market is fairly well developed in Sofia, where all major businesses are concentrated. They attract employees from across the country, who - together with higher education students - are, more often than not, potential tenants.
A semi-annual report of a serious real estate agency has shown that the middle and upper-middle market rental levels retained general stability in the second half of 2005. Experts expect an improved quality of supply on the rental market in 2006 due to the sophistication of tenant's requirements and increasing supply.
