Outside the village, within walking distance, there is a micro dam which is famous among the local birdwatchers for the unique species including two kinds of eagles. One of Bulgaria's biggest dams, Stamboliyski, a popular fishing and recreation destination, stands 25 km. away. Two nearby small towns - Pavlikeni and Bjala Cherkva - offer all the necessary shopping and banking amenities. Within a radius of 50 km, there are many historic villages, churches and monasteries which make the region a favorite destination for both Bulgarians and foreign visitors.
